Johnny tells us about the Narnian themed summer, the launch of the tunnels activity and gives an update on our recent Christmas camps.

When the new team applied over the course of last year, they were all clear about why they wanted to spend their gap year at The Oakes – to make an impact on God’s Kingdom by sharing the good news of Jesus in residential ministry.
They all have memories of being on camp themselves (some of them at The Oakes!) and making a decision to trust and follow Jesus. People have invested in these guys and now they are using their gap year to make an impact in other young lives!
This year we have a great international team who completed three weeks of training in September and have made an impact on ten Oakes camps so far! Here’s some things they’ve shared …
“A camper I spoke to understood that Jesus was real. His response was ‘This changes everything!’”
“When I’m excited about my faith, the campers also get excited!”
“[I love it] when a camper realises that Jesus is a free gift!”
We’re excited to see their continued impact as they serve Jesus, share Jesus and grow in Jesus together.
- Praise for the new team, and pray as they share the Gospel with campers, grow in God’s word on study days, and serve each other as they live and work together.
