Volunteer

Giving your time. Sharing your skills.

Here are some of the ways you may be able to volunteer at The Oakes.

Join the Impact Team (18+)

Each year we seek a team of 16 fun-loving young adults from all over the world to help us run every aspect of our camps! We can guarantee that you will grow in your faith and maturity as you pour into the lives of many others. You will develop skills and gain experience in a variety of fields from leading activities and Bible studies to helping with catering and maintenance. It’s also a ton of fun! Find out more.

Help on Support Team (15+)

The Support Team are wonderful guys and girls who help out “behind the scenes” on a camp. Working alongside our resident team, they help prepare the food, wash the dishes, set up the activities, and keep the house looking spick-and-span, even when all the muddy campers come in from the ropes course! Alongside serving, they also grow in their faith as they join in with team devotions and, on specific camps, benefit from their own Support Team Bible studies. Find out more.

Volunteers

All help, skilled or unskilled, is greatly appreciated. Even between camps we may be in need of help in the kitchen, house, grounds and office. If you feel able to offer your time and skills, even if it’s only one day a week, please let us know.

Occasionally, opportunities arise to join our permanent team to take on a specific role. We post these on our vacancies page. Please note that our entire team are volunteers.

Work Team

Each year, we try and set a couple of weeks aside (usually in July) specifically to tackle large maintenance projects and develop new activities, as well as prepare the house for the summer camps. If you are creative, have practical skills or are simply willing to help, that would be very much appreciated. Find out more.
