Please note: The Oakes does not have any paid employees, so all our team are self-employed and responsible for raising financial and prayer support. We would be happy to help you with this and there is time given to develop these relationships.

Operations Team Leader

We are looking to appoint our first permanent Operations Team Leader, responsible for overseeing the activities which support our front-line work ensuring that campers and team are well cared for. We are looking for someone:

  • with a track record in managing people and finances
  • able to manage the process of change by effective communication and coordination
  • who can build strong working relationships with the Operations and Senior Leadership Teams

Catering Lead

Needed from September 2020, to ensure The Oakes maintains its reputation for delicious, safe food for all of our guests and the live-in team. We are looking for someone:

  • with a clear understanding of the importance of good hospitality in a Christian residential setting
  • with experience of high volume catering
  • with a thorough grasp of food safety & hygiene regulations and best practice
  • able to manage kitchen teams of volunteers of mixed ages and abilities
  • who can build strong relationships with other Oakes team members
