CHUC
Keep this on the low...but this is Nat, Andy, Dave, Nick and Helen..
Just thought we would congratulate you all on graduating from the Oakes Spy Academy!
Remember, you have learnt a lot about being a spy this summer, but the real spy manual is the BIBLE.
So, Andy, what have you learnt from reading your bible recently?
Something that has struck me recently is, if you were to beimprisoned for your faith, with no access to a bible, how many verses would you know to keep you going? Therefore, I encourage you to take advantage of the memory verse system, because me personally am stuck on John 3:16 until im released.
How about you Dave, what are 3 things you have learnt about God during your year at the Oakes?
We have to be patient and wait for God, because His timing is perfect. He also has a plan for us, even if we dont see it at the time. Prayer is very important.
Helen, who are you and what do you do?
I'm your sister, Nat. I wear white and blue socks, while studying Maths and Religious Studies at Cardiff university.
Do you enjoy that?
Yes, it is very good.
Finally, Nick, what is the most exciting thing that has happened to you this summer?
This summer? Its not really happened to me, but Kidderminster Harriers won last saturday. But, I got to meet new people and got to experience the work of Keswick and Soul Survivor, as well as the Oakes.
Simon, you just walked in, what do you think of the Oakes?
There are very very nice trees.
So, Dave, Andy and Nat have all just left the Oakes...
Dave, what are you moving onto next?
It's my birthday soon. And then, im going to Moorlands bible college to study applied theology in youth and community studies.
Andy, do you have an encouraging word to share with whoever may be reading this?
Believe in it, because if you dont, one day you'll regret it.
Nat, what are you moving onto after The Oakes?
I'm going to Leeds to study primary education.
Any final words to add, anyone?
Yes...For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not die, but have eternal life
Exciting times
Keep reading your bibles, ask your youth leaders challenging questions, keep in touch over the forum
