Poem by Amy
A few weeks ago (on the 2nd discipleship camp) we were studying the book of Jonah and looking at it from the perspective of "Jonah and the Ninevites" rather than "Jonah and the whale".
It was a great camp where we learnt tons of how we should be obedient like the fish was and repent like the Ninevites did.
A girl in my dorm called Amy wrote a great poem about Jonah so I thought I'd share it with you all:
God our Lord said "Go, go, go!"
But silly Jonah said "No, no, no!"
Jonah went on a boat, boat, boat
A storm came and a shiver went down Jonah's throat, throat, throat!
Bad things were happening to the sail, sail, sail
Then Jonah got eaten by a whale, whale, whale!
After 3 days the whale spat him out, out, out
The Jonah had a little walk about, bout, bout!
Soon God had something to say, say, say
He said go to Nineveh not the other way, way, way!
Jonah was a very silly boy, boy, boy
He thought Nineveh was God's to destroy, roy, roy
Hope you enjoyed it! I know I did! :)
