what's been going on...

Hey... Alley here!

well... for me this is my first team blog, which is quite exciting so please be patient if i get too excited by all this! it's soooo cool! (anyway...)

so this week has been really cool; myself and a few other members of the team went away to York for the day on monday which was lovely and then we had a great day on tuesday doing some exciting planning for summer camps! woohoooo! bring it on!

Today in my personal Bible study i was reading James 3:1-12

He talks about taming the tongue - watching what you say. it taught me that the tongue can be either a great thing, or a deadly distructive thing. depending on how we use it. we should remember to always use what we say as encouragement and never to upset. we should be mindful of this; heres a great part of the passage:

"Or take ships as an example; although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. James 3: 4-6
