Does The Oakes suggest any preparation or follow up to a camp? (Not school groups)

Preparation

All children/young people who attend should be aware the camp will explain what Christians believe and challenge them to consider carefully what they believe. Clearly, it would be inappropriate not to explain this to your group.

Follow up

The desire of the team is that many children/young people will become Christians through their contact with The Oakes. Some may make commitments during the camp, but for many more the visit may be the starting point for asking questions.

Groups attending The Oakes are strongly encouraged to set up a follow-up meeting or programme straight after a visit. Perhaps a ‘Just Looking’ evening or Bible basics course could be arranged to meet the needs of the youngsters who have attended.
