Camps

Praise for:

  • Good numbers for the 11-15 and 14-18 Discipleship camps.
  • Campers who have given their lives to Christ on recent camps.
  • Good workshop seminars for the Discipleship camps.

Pray for:

  • The campers who have become Christians recently to have support and encouragement from other Christians, in growing in their faith.
  • Review and implementation in January, including new ideas for camps and summer theme 2011 plans.
  • Bookings for open slots in 2011.

Team

Praise for:

  • Jane and all her work in making The Oakes what it is.
  • The chance for the team to attend the two day Fulwood Conference during November.
  • John Randall (who passed away at the end of November). Give thanks for his life and for all his hard work, as well as being an encouragement to the team.

Pray for:

  • Please continue to pray that we would be able to appoint a Programme Manager and Office Administrator soon.
  • Ben Asbery as he prepares to start an apprenticeship in the New Year to train to be a tree surgeon.
  • Pray for safe and uneventful travels for Jane (leaving 9 Dec) and for her container (loaded 6 Dec).
  • A well-earned rest for the team over the Christmas break.
  • Luke, Daisy and Bethany on furlough in America.

Practical Needs

Praise for:

  • The wonderful people who support the ministry of The Oakes.
  • Give thanks for Ben Asbery and for his hard work during his time here.
  • The hard work of the gap team – they have persevered with the often repetitive tasks required of them in autumn and winter.
  • Give thanks for Brian McGinley and his expertise in helping to repair the stone on the terrace.

Pray for:

  • Pray that we can make the necessary repairs to the terrace.
  • Finance and wisdom for Clare in purchasing a new oven and ventilation system for the kitchen.
