In the beginning

As we all know, the start of Genisis is how God made the world and the universe and absolutly everything right? What i'm wondering is... is the whole six days thing a metaphor for evolution? or... is it quite literally that everything was done in six days... (You can skip the next 4 paragraphs if u want - they're a bit long!!! XD soz...) There's loads of evidence that the world is billions of years old and that we evolved from less advanced organisims and all that, but... God could if he wanted to make everything in 6 days and the world only be like 6,000 years old right? but then wouldn't it be like him tricking us into thinking that stuff happend that didn't - which wouldn't make sense! but then couldn't it be that's sin tricking us into thinking that the world is older than it is because the world is filled with sin? Another thing i just thought of is - is it a metaphor because in the creation story thing it says that god made the day and the night and that before he made day and night it was saying that he made it in x number of days - but then a day is just 24 hours rather than whether or not it's light or dark! It might be a metahpor because God's outside of time, byt then again the universe isn't outside of time and it was the universe that was been talked about!!!!!!! And finallycould it be a metaphor because on the seventh day God rested which might be the time when we were like evolving and whatnot......................................................... and if we're like all from Adam and Eve then there's some major (sorry about this last point but i think it's kinda relevent) incest issues which is sinful right? Soz for blabbling on so long but i'm just really confused!!! I know it's not something that will change whether or not i have faith - i'll be a Christian no matter what the answer is - but i feel it's something really quite important - especially for people who aren't Christian cause that affects whether or not they believe - and i want to know what to tell them!!! Plz help!!!
