Hi! I'm missing the oakes, and everyone there, sooooo much! i really need to tell you something. In, like, the last week i've felt really weird about being a christian and how, well i was reading my bible and it said that you have to give up everything to be a christian and for me that would mean my family. I just feel like i'm drifting further and further away from them. And basicly, i was thinking that maybe i didn't want any of this, and i just feel like i don't believe. i've been praying for a sign but i haven't got one. i really don't know what to do. xoxoxo

hi lauren, good to hear from you. yea, it is really hard being a christian, especially when your family isn't. my family aren't christians and i find it quite hard whenever i'm at home as i believe something totally different to them . but, that is when the bible tells us that we have to fix our eyes on Jesus and remember what he did for us on the cross and what that acheives for us. we see that God loves us so much and bought us at a HUGE price. God sometimes gives us 'signs' but often it is as though his bible is his sign to us. he has given us the bible so we can know more about his character and the best possible way to live. so in the bible it tells us to be encouraged and that being a christian is worth it. so be encouraged, yes it is hard, but being a christian is the way to expeience the best life possible and to know that our salvation is secure. does that make sense? i will be praying for you lauren, hele

hey lauren :):) sorry to poke my head in where its probably not wanted, but i couldn't help reading your first post and realising that ive been through the same situation and asked for a sign too. basically i just wanted to say that youre definitely not alone! sometimes i think God sends signs for us, but even when theyre staring at us in the face we still dont see them! and God has this habit of suprising us when we're least expecting it, and in the weirdest ways :):) so its ok, i know where you're coming from :):) keep reading that awesome big book, and you'll be ok :):) alice xxx <>< :):)

hey girly twirls!! glad to see you guys encouraging each other - remember that God never forgets us or fails to have a plan for us. we might not understand it or even see it at the moment but we have to keep trusting him. and we know we can trust him because we see from the bible that he is a faithful God who ALWAYS keeps his promises. So be encouraged!
