Phase 2 starts Hello. It has been quite a while since my last update on this make-The-Oakes-bigger job. When i last posted we had two weeks left to finish phase one and get the house ready for camps. Well it was manic. The builders went berserk in week 9 plastering everything, putting doors in getting everything sorted so camps could commence. They did well with the exception of the fire alarm system. A rather critical system you might agree. None the less, it is all in good shape now: camps commenced and here we are 9 weeks later. As you may remember we also had a lot to finish and while the builders went disco we also engaged ludicrous drive to get the house in order after three months of work with dust, rubbish, lumps of tat and tea mugs littered everywhere. Despite some set backs including leaking pipes and water heaters that stopped working we also made it... just. Many thanks for your prayers. Given that Christ suffered and died for us, a week or two of stress on his behalf is but a small thing really when you look at the bigger picture. So what next? Well, phase two has now commenced. The builders are going to do most of the internal work now that we have received the funding. They have till the end of June. Currently the electricians are laying the required cables and sockets.
