How to Book
Camp Rates
The cost of a particular camp will depend on the length and type of the camp. Each year the cost of a camp will rise slightly to cover the cost of inflation.
To find out the cost of a specific camp, check on the camp dates page, or contact us directly. Subsidies are also available - see 'Can't Afford to Come?' section below.
How to Book - Individuals
After deciding which camp you would like your child to attend:
- If the camp list shows the desired camp to be close to full, then you can confirm there are still spaces by phoning us (0114) 235 9995. Otherwise, proceed with the booking.
- Fill out a booking form (see bottom of page to download) and send it to The Oakes with a £20 deposit to reserve a place
- Complete the rest of the booking procedure as instructed by The Oakes office
How to Book - Groups
After deciding which camp you would like your group to attend:
- Phone the Oakes office (0114) 235 9995 to check that there are still the required number of spaces (if available)
- Provisionally book the required number of spaces (if available) which can be held for 14 days without a deposit being paid
- Collect money from your group or church to cover £20 deposit per person coming (including leaders). Complete and return a booking form for each person along with the deposit to The Oakes within 14 days of making the provisional booking
- If the correct deposit is not received within 14 days of the provisional booking then the places will no longer be held and will be open to be booked by others
- Complete the rest of the booking as instructed by The Oakes office
Booking a Group for the First Time?
A Leaders booklet is available for all leaders inquiring about a first time booking. The booklet deals with frequently asked questions and the booking procedure. A copy will be sent to you if you contact the office staff. It is worth reading through the booklet before making a provisional booking.
How to Book - Schools
The process is the same for groups (above), except that we need to reserve mid-week bookings far enough in advance so we can close a neighbouring weekend slot. See our schools page for more information.
Can't Afford to Come?
The Oakes Trust has set up a Holiday Fund to ensure that subsidised places are available to anyone who requires financial assistance to enable them to take part in a camp. For more details, please contact us.
